This Week:
- Students learned about figurative language and took notes on poetic devices.
- Students read short stories and found examples of poetic devices in the stories.
- Students shared their geometry cities and completed a self-assessment for the project.
- Students created a map of Greece.
- Students completed puzzles and activities in French using St. Patrick's Day vocabulary.
- Our class went on a field trip to Langford Lanes. We had a great time bowling and mini-golfing!
- Report cards are coming home today.

- Students participated in the Carnaval de Journey. Div. 13 won first place in the costume contest!
- Students continued to work on their Geometrocity Projects in math
- Students began a project where they are inventing a new Olympian God
- Students completed a design challenge inspired by the irrigation systems in Ancient Mesopotamia
- Students wrote a Myth Test
Next Week:
- Geometrocity projects will be due on Wednesday
- Invent an Olympian projects will be due on Wednesday
- We will practice some reading comprehension strategies
- We will learn about the verb "Aller" in French
- We will begin a short unit on probability
- There will be a parent meeting on Tuesday (March 6) at 7pm for all students interested in travelling to Europe (Italy, Switzerland, France, Spain) on Spring Break 2019
