This Week:
- We continued on our grammar mini-unit, learning about plural and possessive nouns, pronouns, and verbs.
- We practiced calculating discounts, taxes, and tips on purchases.
- We learned about different glacial ages in the Earth's history.
- We continued to work on the French menu project.
- In our neighbourhood, we had an afternoon of holiday activities.
- We spotted an owl in the woods during a nature walk.
- We collected 64 items for the Sooke Food Bank.
- Students received their first term report cards.
Next Week:
- We will have a Christmas party on Thursday afternoon. There will be a gift exchange game. Any student who wishes to participate needs to bring in a wrapped gift ($10-$15 value) on Thursday. If you bring in a gift, you will get a gift.
- The talent show is scheduled on Friday from 10:30-12:00. Parents are invited to attend if they wish.
- We will continue to practice financial percents in Math.
- We will continue to review parts of speech in English.
- We will learn about how primitive humans created fire, made tools, and their methods of hunting.
