This Week:
- Students presented their French Country Projects. I was very impressed by the quality of work! Congratulations!
- We continued to work with circles in math - learning how to calculate area and circumference, solving word problems, and drawing mandalas to show symmetry.
- We read two Pourquoi Tales in English: Why Elephants Have Trunks and Why Rabbits Have Short Tails.
- We created maps of Ancient Mesopotamia.
- We reviewed vocabulary about mixtures and pure substances in Science.
- A Ski Trip form was sent home. If you want to come skiing, you must return the form by Wednesday.
Next Week:
- Students will re-tell one of the Pourquoi Tales we read, giving a different explanation of the title.
- We will complete a lab to classify items as pure substances or mixtures.
- We will learn more about the geography and economy of Mesopotamia.
- We will review the verb ĂȘtre in French.
- On Wednesday, there will be a parent meeting at 7:00pm for all parents of students who wish to go on the ski trip.
